Sleep Problems?

Have you ever seen a TV commercial for a sleep medication? Animated green butterflies and soundly sleeping couples may give you the impression that these meds are gentle and safe.  In reality, multiple clinical studies indicate that these medications drastically increase the risk of cancer and overall risk of death; in the year 2010, they were associated with roughly 300,000 to 500,000 excess deaths in the USA alone.  Although a dose-response effect was seen (the more pills one took, the greater their risk of cancer and death was), one clinical study showed that even taking fewer than 18 pills per year was still associated with a 360% increase in risk of mortality, with even greater risks for those that took more than 18 doses per year.

In this video, Dr. Davidson reveals how a few simple healthy practices can help you overcome your sleep problems, which is something even these highly toxic drugs cannot do.  Dr. Davidson mentions that natural products (not melatonin), that are quite safe and effective when used under the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider, are also available to help one resolve sleep problems.  Due to concerns with regard to supplement quality, interaction with drugs, contraindications in certain medical conditions,  as well as the potential to mask more serious health conditions, Dr. Davidson recommends that these supplements be used only under the guidance of a healthcare professional knowledgeable in the use of supplements and natural products.
